Without Alpha Chi Rho, I wouldn’t have…

Through everything we experience in life, we take something from each moment. Our college years can be some of the most influential years of our lives, and through each experience and moment, we had Alpha Chi Rho to fall back on. We recently talked to Alpha Chi Rho brothers, here’s what they told us they wouldn’t have if it weren’t for Alpha Chi Rho:

He says that he appreciates all of the connections that he made at Alpha Chi Rho. “The main thing it did was to create lifelong (really lifelong) friendships with a few guys.” – Jason Downie ’94

Without Alpha Chi Rho, I wouldn’t have enjoyed my college time as much. In addition to the friendships made, Rappaport enjoyed the opportunity to be a leader in Alpha Chi Rho, which prepared him for life after graduation. “I was the bar steward and learned to make sure that the bar was well stocked and that people were responsible in paying for their usage. Also to make sure that the equipment (including pinball machines) was treated with respect.” – Jim Rappaport ’77

Without Alpha Chi Rho, I wouldn’t have married my wife and fathered our daughter. I can’t think what my life would have been like without Alpha Chi Rho. A graduate Brother gave me my first post-graduation job. I met the woman who became, and still is, my wife because of that, and we have a daughter because of that.” – Byron P. Connell ‘63

Without Alpha Chi Rho, I wouldn’t regard my college years as the most fun of my life, and I wouldn’t have my closest friends. The leadership skills that I learned at the fraternity during college likely contributed to my professional success as a radiology department head for 11 years.” – Russell Blumer ‘92
