We’ve gotten word that Jeremy Cohn ’09 has turned to booze—as CEO of Moody Tongue Brewery, that is. And, he’s pretty good at it. Moody Tongue is currently in a USA Today contest with 10 other national contenders for the title of best new brewery. That’s right—with more than 4,100 craft breweries in America, a Phi Phi AXP could be the leader of #1.

Moody Tongue has already been named one of the Best New Breweries in America by Time Out, CNN/Eatocracy, and Food & Wine. And, you've apparently got to try the Steeped Emperor's Lemon Saison, which was named one of the top 25 beers of 2015 by Draft Magazine and one of the top dishes of Chicago in both 2015 and 2014 by Time Out.

Jeremy feels fortunate to have shared some of his beers with his Phi Phi brothers.

"I remain incredibly close with many of my friends from AXP. I have enjoyed sharing Moody Tongue beers with alums now that we are growing in cities like Chicago and New York,” he said. “It would be an honor to have their support, the fraternity certainly played a huge role in my university life. I look forward to hosting alums in our tasting room once it opens during the summer of this year."

You can help Jeremy and his cousin/brewmaster Jared Rouben in their quest to be among the best of the nation’s breweries by casting your vote. Voting ends February 29.
