Supporting Academic Success, Increasing Chapter Diversity, & Giving Back

Our undergrads are working hard to uphold the values of Alpha Chi Rho while enjoying many of the same experiences we had.

Upholding Our Values

  • The chapter is actively promoting healthy practices and individual achievement by:
  • Participating in the No2Hazing webinar ran by National
  • Working closely with the Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life advisor, who will be attending some chapter meetings
  • Starting an On-Campus Recruiting Panel, through which senior brothers help juniors and sophomores learn skills needed to apply for internships and jobs (writing resumes and cover letters, interview skills and tips, etc.)
  • Providing academic support to brothers who may be struggling. Pledges are paired with brothers in their majors and have access to study guides and class materials, as well as the opportunity to participate in time-management and stress-reduction workshops at the Weingarten Learning Center.

Welcoming the New Pledge Class

One of our pledges, Arbab Khalid

This semester, potential new members attended a football game to get to know the brothers and participated in a date night. The chapter is proud to introduce their diverse new members:

Fakhri Abdullayev

Jesus Calixto (of Mexican heritage)
Hometown: The Bronx, NY

Arbab Khalid (of Pakistani heritage)

Our rush goal for next semester is 12 to 15 pledges.

Giving Back Locally & Nationally

The active chapter has participated in a flag football tournament with the sisters of Zeta Tau Alpha to promote breast cancer awareness.

Upcoming events:

  • Rake-a-Thon to support Habitat for Humanity
  • International Food Sale to support an on-campus pro-refugee organization
